Hitachi America added the CPWX8 3LCD multimedia projector to its portable lineup. It weighs less than 5 pounds, measures just 12 by 8.7 by 3 inches, and operates at native WXGA (1280×800) resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 2,600 lumens. It includes HDMI, S-Video, and composite video inputs, plus RGB computer video inputs and outputs, two audio inputs, and an audio output. An RS-232C port enables the projector to be controlled as part of an integrated AV system. The projector has a hybrid filter that lasts 5,000 hours between cleaning and a front-air exhaust system that directs the heat away from audiences.
