Chris Neal, general manager and system design specialist for ProAD A/V in Oklahoma City, accomplished what only 58 AV pros before him had accomplished. He earned his Certified Technology Specialist – Installation (CTS-I) certification from InfoComm International to go along with his Certified Technology Specialist – Design (CTS-D) certification. Add to that his prerequisite CTS cert and Neal is one of 59 professionals in the world to be recognized by InfoComm as an expert in audiovisual design and installation.

“We are thrilled that one of our own employees is among the few audiovisual professionals in the world with this combination of prestigious certifications,” said Russell Kim, president and CEO of ProAD A/V, in a statement. “We strive to provide the best service to our clients, and it is through valuable employees like Chris that we make this mission a reality.”

Through this certification, Neal has been recognized as a professional who installs and maintains audiovisual systems by following specifications, schematics, codes and safety protocols. He is able to troubleshoot, solve problems and communicate efficiently to provide the best audiovisual solutions for his clients’ needs.

To qualify for the CTS-I certification, Neal first had to achieve CTS and prove his experience in six AV installation skill areas, including rack building, audio setup, projector set-up and installation, rack mounting and customer relations.

InfoComm has certified more qualified AV professionals than anyone else in the industry, and their certifications are the only credentials to achieve accreditation through the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) ISO/IEC 17024 certification of personnel as administered in the United States by American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
