Mediatech recently announced a new version of its popular ButtonMate system interface, which provides an “all-in-one” solution for small control environments. The MT-XL-BM, ButtonMate XL, is a configurable room control panel capable of directly controlling RS-232 and IR devices such as projectors and VCR/DVD players. This controller may be used for direct control of two IR devices (using a dual-head emitter) and one RS-232 device. According to the company, the ButtonMate XL, which comes with more than 200 pre-printed button labels and color filters, provides a customizable and consistent control interface to instructors and presenters regardless of the make and model of the equipment being controlled.
