Polycom is previewing a touch interface for its line of HDX room telepresence systems. The new Touch Control has 7-inch, high-resolution touchscreen and built-in graphical user interface for controlling calls, videoconference administration, and content sharing. Because it uses Power over Ethernet, the Touch Control needs just a single network cable to integrate with a conferencing system. AV technology managers can monitor and control several units using Polycom’s Converged Management Application. The device also includes a USB port for easily pulling content into a video call.
