AMX has released its new AutoPatch Digital Generation (DG) DVI-to-fiber transmitter and DG DVI-to-fiber receiver. With these products, system integrators now have a way to transmit uncompressed digital video over distances up to 3,000ft. to multiple displays.
The transmitter and receiver can be used in conjunction with an EpicaDG fiber optic matrix switcher to deliver video to as many as 144 displaysideal for any large or highly secure facility, such as command-and-control, homeland security, broadcast, or business. The products can also be used together to create a point-to-point solution for smaller installationssuch as graphic design studios or small post-production facilitiesneeding to deliver high-resolution computer video to three or fewer displays.
“With these new solutions, AMX has met a real need that many organizations have to distribute digital video over long distances while preserving signal integrity,” says Robert Noble, AMX chief technology officer. “When significant investments are made in true DVI sources, such as HDTV tuners, DVD players, and personal computers, solutions should be available to deliver that same high-quality video throughout the facility.”
Key features and benefits of the DVI-to-Fiber transmitter and receiver include:
- High-quality, highly secure video distributionDistribute three DVI signals over one 12-fiber, multimode MTP cable in pure digital form while preserving signal quality
