Avocent Introduces New Wireless HD Extension Solution

Avocent‘s Emerge MPX1000 HD multipoint extender solution offers new options for AV delivery, capable of sending rich content through walls at HD resolutions. Incorporating High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) technology, the product is able to distribute content from a source to multiple display devices. High resolution computer graphics up to 1280×1024, HD video up to 720p, and stereo audio are wirelessly transmitted to as many as eight wireless or wired receivers. Manageability is provided through an onboard web interface and device control is accommodated through extension of serial, IR, and HDMI control data.
The Emerge MPX1000 solution extends video and audio over standard 10/100 Ethernet wiring up to 3,000ft. and wirelessly through walls up to 150ft., or up to 1,000ft. line of sight with optional directional antenna. Audio-video synchronization is maintained at each display and all wirelessly connected receivers remain in lock step with each other.
