NSCA’s A/E Toolkit Celebrates Five Years by Going Back to Basics

Entering its fifth year, the A/E Toolkit continues to provide industry professionals with information to build relationships with the architect and engineer community. In the first of six new releases this year, the latest update builds upon the basis contractors use to obtain work.
New to the toolkit are a series of white papers that define the client issues architects and designers face in order to better prepare systems integrators and consultants to work with architects and engineers. Additionally, new articles on maximizing relationships with design professionals and helping them leverage new technology to win more work will help contractors recover in 2010.
“Contractors are looking toward a more prosperous future,” says Chuck Wilson, NSCA executive director. “The ability to work with architects, engineers, designers, and consultants who write specifications can be beneficial for all parties involved. This toolkit provides a valuable resource to ensure those relationships are built and sustained.”
The latest white papers provide sales staff and management with key information, including:
- Maximizing relationships with architects, engineers and designers
- Evaluating a team before signing the dotted line
- Five phases of design
- Successful tactics when choosing an engineer.
“The A/E Toolkit’s new content focuses on how NSCA members can benefit from strong working relationships with architects and interior designers for better business-to-business opportunities,” says Craig Park, FSMPS, Assoc. AIA, vice president and chief marketing officer for Leo A Daly, an architect and engineer firm based in Omaha, Neb.. “This was the founding purpose of the A/E Toolkit five years ago and, now more than ever, NSCA members need to use all the tools in the toolkit to help build business.”
