NuVo Technologies announced its award-winning Renovia whole-home audio system has begun shipping. The system makes use of Power Line Carrier (PLC) technology to distribute audio and metadata over a home’s AC wiring, providing a simple and efficient retrofit solution for whole-home audio. Renovia was created to offer an easy installation for existing homes in a uniquely customizable design. The audio system includes a main source hub that supports up to six different source components, up to eight in-wall zone amplifiers, and a choice of four feature-rich control pads, including a convenient wireless control pad. Renovia lets the homeowner customize the audio sources, including its built-in dual AM/FM/Sirius-ready tuner, iPods, CD players, and NuVo’s versatile Music Port, which stores a home’s digital music collection and opens up access to streaming audio from Internet sources such as Pandora.
