Direct Optical DCA-O cable from Tributaries Cable is engineered using a digital-grade, 1mm plastic fiber core. To ensure maximum light transfer, the fiber core is surrounded by a highly reflective cladding resulting in data transfer with a loss of less than 0.15dB.

Tributaries Direct Optical cable is terminated with Toslink connectors, highly durable machined metal housings and strain reliefs fitted onto a tough 6mm PVC jacket.

Tributaries wire products bring discernible improvement to any audio or video system by using advanced methods and materials, superior shielding, and the highest-performance connector terminations.

The conductors in Tributaries cables are manufactured using Oxygen Free High Conductivity Copper (OFHCC) produced in an inert gas atmosphere from the smelting of raw copper to the finished product. The OFHCC process produces wire that provides better conductivity and greater flexibility and withstands the higher temperatures required for soldering.

The DCA cable was produced using Tributaries’ exclusive 360º Surround Soldering System, which provides a powerful strain relief and the best ground contact over time. It achieves the strongest mechanical connection between the cable shield and the connector by “Surround Soldering” instead of the conventional point-to-point soldering.
