d3 Technologies is pleased to announce their latest partnership in the Asia Pacific region, with Technical Direction Company (TDC) Australia.

TDC was established 35 years ago and is recognized as the leading Australian supplier of video technology solutions for major events and live productions. Based in Sydney and Melbourne, their portfolio includes The Voice and X Factor TV shows, concert tours for Kanye West and Kylie Minogue, the VIVID Sydney light festival and White Night Melbourne cultural celebration, and corporate launches for leading global organizations.

“We’re excited that TDC has joined our growing list of d3 partners worldwide,” says Desmond Yim, d3 Regional Sales Manager, APAC. “TDC is well known for its technical and creative expertise and holds the largest stock of high-brightness projectors in Australia as well as extensive LED and media control systems. Our partnership with TDC will enable us to support an increasing market for d3 solutions in Australia.”

d3 maintains a network of partnerships around the world which are dedicated to helping fulfill customers’ d3 requirements, from consultation, training and support to client demos and more. TDC has been a d3 rental partner in the region for several years and have provided expert d3 knowledge to the likes of The Voice and VIVID lighting festival. They are now taking the next step and are in the process of building new d3 studio space at its Sydney office to accommodate its expanding business and d3 requirements.

“Establishing this partnership between d3 and TDC is going to be a turning point for d3 in the Southern Hemisphere. We can now more easily and confidently provide the full spectrum of d3 training, expert knowledge and solutions,” says Yim.

A d3 proponent who is eager to spread his knowledge of d3 systems throughout Australia, TDC’s Head Engineer and Media Server Specialist Steve Cain recently completed advanced d3 training in London. He is now qualified to support d3 in the Australian market and train d3 operators on the systems.

“Our reputation at TDC has always been about bringing the latest technologies to the market in this region, we are heavily invested in ensuring that we offer emerging solutions when it comes to 3D modelling and previsualisation for shows, as the future of video evolves” said Michael Hassett, CEO at TDC. “Having utilized the d3 media servers for several years we realized the commitment of the team behind this powerful solution.  We are delighted to become a d3 partner, it allows us to work side by side with the developers at d3, this is invaluable in future technology development for both of our organisations,” says Hassett.
