Cleerline SSF™ 8K UHD HDMI Active Optical Cables (AOC) are in stock and shipping now! SSF™ 8K UHD AOC cables are constructed using 4 strands of Cleerline SSF™ Stronger, Safer, Faster-to-terminate glass optical fiber, providing signal transfer at a lightning-fast 48 Gbps up to 40 meters.
These new cables deliver all the features need for today’s 4K Ultra High Definition signals, as well as future 8K UHD and up to 10K transmission. Additionally, cables offer High Dynamic Range, Wide Color Gamut, and more.
All cables are built with Cleerline SSF™ optical fiber technology for increased flexibility and durability. The internal fibers also provide increased resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and lower latency compared to passive copper HDMI cables. Furthermore, the patented SSF™ polymer coating at the glass level means the fibers can be re-terminated. Should a different display format be required, the HDMI connector heads can be replaced with fiber optic connectors and accompanying baluns.
SSF™ HDMI Active Optical Cables bridge the gap between shorter-distance HDMI installations and longer-distance fiber installations. In longer-distance applications, they also reduce needed materials by eliminating the immediate need for HDMI over fiber extenders.
