Lowell Manufacturing Company introduced a built-in thermostat option for 19in. panels with whisper-quiet or turbo fans. This thermostat is built into the cord, activating and deactivating fans when ambient temperatures reach pre-set points. The thermostat automatically turns fans on when the ambient temperature hits 86 degrees F (30 degrees C), and off when the temperature is 72 degrees F (22 degrees C). Whisper fans (Model Series FW) have a 4.7in. diameter, 50 cfm airflow rating, 28dB noise rating, and requires 5.5W. Includes fan guards and power cord. Whisper fans are available in two formats: 19-inch E.I.A. Fan Panels, 3RU (with two or three fans) or 7RU (with four fans); as well as a single fan kit for spot cooling. The Turbo fan (Model Series FT): has a 10in. diameter fan (19in. E.I.A. 7rU panel), a 550 cfm airflow rating and 50.8dB noise rating, requiring 61W. The package includes front/rear fan guards and cord.
