Neumann is celebrating its 80th anniversary by launching the TLM 67 studio microphone. Based on the U 67 of the 1960s, the TLM 67 incorporates the K 67 capsule and closely reproduces the sound of the U 67, without the use of tubes.

The TLM 67’s three switchable directional characteristics–omnidirectional, coardioid, and figure-8–selectable 10 dB pre-attenuation, and high-pass filter allow detailed adjustments to be made depending on the recording situation. Featuring a dual-color design, the microphone’s pearl-gray body combines with a classic nickel finish. In recognition of Neumann’s 80th anniversary, the company is honoring its founder, Georg Neumann, with a three-dimensional metal emblem on the front of the microphone.

According to president of marketing and sales Wolfgang Fraissinet, “The design and circuit technology of the TLM 67 represent a contemporary development of the U 67, conveying its positive attributes to the present era.”
