Electrograph Offers Sony HD Videoconferencing

Electrograph Systems will offer Sony’s IPELA line of videoconferencing systems as a means to help resellers expand their flat-panel sales and profit potential.

Electrograph Systems, a distributor of technology products and services, will offer Sony’s IPELA line of videoconferencing systems as a means to help resellers expand their flat-panel sales and profit potential. The line includes Sony’s new PCS-XG80 1080i HD videoconferencing system, for which a training session will take place during Electrograph’s next Display Technology Experience (DTE) reseller event in Chicago on May 22.

“With the high cost of business travel–from the standpoint of both productivity and expenses–more of our reseller partners are installing videoconferencing systems as an affordable alternative for their customers,” said Sam Taylor, president of Electrograph Systems, in a statement. “This trend, combined with the generous boost in sales and margin that can result from adding one of Sony’s videoconferencing systems to a flat-panel sale, is a winning situation for our resellers.”

“We specifically chose to distribute Sony videoconferencing systems through Electrograph because of the strong synergy between our customers and products,” explained Dave Petricig, director of channel sales for Spire Global, Sony’s U.S. sales, marketing, and support associate for Sony’s IPELA line. “Since all videoconferencing systems have to connect to a display, we couldn’t think of a better partner than the nation’s leading display technology distributor.”

Petricig will lead the training session on the PCS-XG80 at the DTE event and demonstrate how it complements existing LCDs and plasma sales opportunities.
