Shure Names New Vice President of Operations

Shure Incorporated announced that Ron Thompson has been named as the company’s vice president of operations. In this role, he will be responsible for the following departments: manufacturing, quality, supply chain, operations strategy, operations program management, process engineering, and tool development. Most recently, Thompson was senior director of manufacturing.
“Through Ron’s leadership, there have been significant improvements in the operations division,” says Sandy LaMantia, president and CEO of Shure. “His experience and strategic guidance has been instrumental in both new and existing Shure endeavors. For example, Ron was one of the key people involved with the opening of our manufacturing facility in China last year.”
Thompson joined Shure in 2002 as Director of Manufacturing Strategies and Projects in the Operations Division. He holds a Bachelors degree in Physics from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
