Beyerdynamic Acquires Interkom Electronic Kock & Mreches Gmbh

In a move that will further strengthen its presence in the systems installation industry, beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG, a leading manufacturer of exceptional microphones and conferencing systems, has acquired Interkom electronic Kock & Mreches GmbH, a Wedemark, Germany-based company specializing in wired conference and simultaneous interpretation systems. The acquisition is effective immediately.

In a move that will further strengthen its presence in the systems installation industry, beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG, a leading manufacturer of exceptional microphones and conferencing systems, has acquired Interkom electronic Kock & Mreches GmbH, a Wedemark, Germany-based company specializing in wired conference and simultaneous interpretation systems. The acquisition is effective immediately.

The acquisition of Interkom electronic Kock & Mreches GmbH illustrates the growth and success of beyerdynamic’s Conference & Presentation unit, and completes the company’s objective to offer a comprehensive range of products to that growing industry. beyerdynamic, which has grown by more than 25 percent in the last three years, will add Interkom’s products to its portfolio worldwide.

For 25 years, Interkom electronic Kock & Mreches GmbH has manufactured innovative products for the conference installations market. That tradition has continued with its recent focus on customization and tailor-made solutions of analog and digital wired conference systems. The company will remain at its Wedemark location through March 31, 2006, at which time it will relocate to beyerdynamic’s production facility in Heilbronn, Germany.
