Expanding on its continued support of the professional AV industry, Biamp announced that it is acting as the exclusive sponsor of the 2006 InfoComm Workforce Development Kit. The kit, being launched at the upcoming InfoComm Executive Business Conference, is a collection of materials specifically prepared for AV professionals that discuss best practices for building and growing a successful employee base, executive project management and human resources. The kit comprises all of the information covered during the Executive Business Conference, including actual HR documents, education and certification materials, market research – all developed with the intention of helping members of the InfoComm Community and the professional AV industry build better businesses.

“InfoComm and Biamp are dedicated to helping maintain the growth and successes that our industry has been experiencing,” says Ralph Lockhart, President, Biamp Systems. “To do that, we must provide our community with resources and training, among other things, that will enable companies to find, hire and retain employees more effectively. The Workforce Development Kit and the Executive Business Conference are invaluable tools that will help raise the visibility of best practices for business development, as well as promote careers in the AV industry. We couldn’t be happier to endorse this kit, these initiatives and a great organization like InfoComm.”

The new Workforce Development Kit will be distributed during the upcoming Executive Business Conference taking place from Sept. 21 until Sept. 23 at the Lincolnshire Marriot Resort in Lincolnshire, Illinois. The Kit will then be available to members of the InfoComm community again at the October Leadership Forum and for the next year via the InfoComm website.

“Developed in close conjunction with leaders in the AV industry, the Workforce Development Kit is an effective guide for executives in our field,” says Melissa Taggart, Vice President, Education, InfoComm International. “We are grateful for Biamp’s support of this initiative and its dedication to AV industry. Thanks to Biamp’s assistance, InfoComm’s 4,000 members will be one step closer to having the workforce that is vital for our growing industry.”
