Proview Subsidiary Manages Video Line

Proview International Holdings formed a new subsidiary to manage the Motorola brand of video display products. Moxell will be responsible for all sales and marketing efforts for the new line of Motorola products to be launched in 2004, following the recently announced alliance between Motorola and Proview. Proview also announced the appointment of Rick Calacci to head the new division for the Americas.

Extron Adds Technology Classroom

Extron Electronics recently opened a Technology Classroom at its Anaheim, California, headquarters to demonstrate different levels of A/V systems for educational environments. With the addition of more than 1,000 square feet, the Extron S3 Technical Institute boasts more than 6,000 square feet, including two classrooms, a computer-based training room, two videoconference rooms, and a fully equipped theater. “We realize that the K — 12 market, in general, does not have the supporting A/V personnel that universities and colleges have, so the A/V equipment installed in this room is focused on educational K — 12 applications and budgets,” says Tim Schnabel, Extron’s educational program manager. The primary products showcased in the Technology Classroom are the Extron MediaLink system, the System 5 IP switcher, and the System 7SC switcher — all controlled by Extron’s latest Ethernet control interface technology, IP Link.
