The Entertainment Services and Technology Association has announced its 2006 board of directors. The newly elected directors are:

  • Treasurer – Mike Wood (Mike Wood Consulting)
  • PSO Vice President – David Taylor (Theatre Projects Consultants)
  • Dealer Director – Luanna Van Holten (LVH Entertainment Systems)
  • Manufacturer Director – Andrew Nikel (City Theatrical)
  • Production Director – Greg Meeh (Jauchem & Meeh)
  • Organizational and Related Director – Eddie Raymond (IATSE Local 16)

Earlier this year, the ESTA membership voted to change the Affiliate Member category to the Production, Professional Services, and Organizational and Related (or PSO) category to better reflect the professional activities of the membership. David Taylor, currently an affiliate director, becomes the first PSO vice president, as Mark West steps down after two terms as affiliate VP. Affiliate Director Greg Meeh was re-elected to the position of production director, while Duncan MacKenzie continues his term under the new title of professional services director. Eddie Raymond joins the board as organizational and related director while continuing his service on the ETCP Council and as a rigging subject matter expert.

Mike Wood, currently the immediate past president of ESTA and chair of the Budget and Finance Committee of the ETCP Council, is stepping into very large shoes. Frank Stewart, ESTA’s first and only treasurer, will be retiring at the end of the year. At ESTA’s annual dinner on Nov. 10 in Orlando, Fla., Stewart was honored for his remarkable service to the association with the creation of the Frank Stewart Volunteer of the Year Award.

ESTA would like to extend its sincere thanks to Fred Mikeska, Rick Rudolph and Mark West as they complete their terms of office for their dedicated service and significant contributions to the association. Mikeska will continue to remain active as the co-chair of the Protocol Task Group and Rudolph will continue in his position as vice chair of the ESTA Foundation.

The new board members take office on Jan. 1, 2006. ESTA welcomes Luanna Van Holten and Andrew Nikel to their first terms as directors. Continuing to serve on the board will be President Bill Groener of PRG, Dealer Vice President Dinna Myers of Musson Theatrical, Manufacturer Vice President Bob Luther of Lex Products, Secretary Erik Magnuson of The MAGNUM Companies, dealer directors Tim Hansen of Oasis Stage Werks and Larry Schoeneman of Designlab Chicago, manufacturer directors Graham Likeness of Pathway Connectivity and Rich Wolpert of Union Connector Company, and Professional Services Director Duncan MacKenzie of Proskenion Design.
