InfoComm’s new AV Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA) series of reports will be released throughout this year. The report covering the European market is available now.

IOTA supersedes the 2014 Market Definition and Strategy Study (MDSS) family of research products to bring fresh analysis and forecast data for professional AV products and services worldwide, including rental and staging services and live events solutions. In Europe, the market for rental and staging services is forecast to grow to $1.1 billion in 2022, from about $900 million in 2017. According to preliminary figures from the Americas IOTA report (North, Central, and South America), the market for rental and staging services in the region is fairly steady, at about $1.5 billion. By 2022, analysts expect it to hit almost $1.8 billion.

The new studies, conducted by IHS Markit on behalf of InfoComm, draw on the London-based global firm’s extensive sources of information, analytics and expertise across many technology segments. The 2017 IOTA series, which aims to provide a concise analysis of the AV industry, includes three regional reports (Europe, AsiaPacific and the Americas) and one global report.
