Manufacturers Sponsor First Worship Arts Tech Summit
Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Yamaha Corp. of America, Shure, and Martin Professional will host the first Worship Arts Technology Summit.
Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Yamaha Corp. of America, Shure, and Martin Professional will host the first Worship Arts Technology Summit, Sept. 14 – 18, in Muskegon, Mich. The event is open to all church technicians and musicians, of all skill levels.
The in-depth, multiday training opportunity offers hands-on participation, focused teaching, and certification in the areas of audio, lighting, and musicianship. Training will be presented in structured technology tracks that allow attendees to begin with the basics and build on them with a series of increasingly advanced class offerings. The three tracks will include: Audio, Musician, Lighting, and Media.
The summit will take place at the Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference Center, a large campus on Lake Michigan. Pro audio experts and sponsors, as well as leading worship musicians and world-class sound and lighting professionals, will be on hand for the training sessions. While many conferences last one or two days, the four-day long summit will go more in-depth and include real-world testing with on-hand experts. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in sessions with real gear, in real time, with real musicians in rooms that aren’t conducive to live sound–as in most real houses of worship–for a truly hand-on experience.
Fees for the full course of sessions begin at $149 for four days. Meals and lodging are available on site for additional charges; group discounts apply. For more information and registration, visit www.worshipartstechnologysummit.com.
