SCM Microsystems and Philips Digital Video Systems have cooperated on thedevelopment and deployment of OpenCable-compliant Conditional Access (CA)modules for the North American cable market. The module is based on theNational Renewable Security System specification (EIA 679) and the Societyof Cable and Telecommunication Engineers specification for the PODinterface (SCTE-DVS131).
