Bang & Olufsen launches new luxury soundbar

The Beosound Premiere features 10 custom-engineered drivers, including an upfiring driver at the center

Bang & Olufsen has officially released the latest offering in its line of sculptural soundbars: the Beosound Premiere. This follow-up to the Beosound Theater is sleeker than the previous model, and comes in at around half the price (the Beosound Premiere starts at “only” $4,700). Keeping with B&O’s aesthetic, the Beosound Premiere doesn’t hide the soundbar’s drivers; rather, it showcases them.

Ten custom-engineered drivers and a dedicated up-firing driver are on full display. These are made up of four 4×3” racetrack drivers, two 2″ full range front-firing drivers, two 2″ full range side-firing drivers, and the  1,5″ full range up-firing driver.

Dolby Atmos is supported, along with B&O’s Wide Stage Technology to deliver what the company claims is a more immersive soundstage. The design of the soundbar was made in collaboration between B&O and the engineers at Factory 5, and continues the company’s established sculptural design philosophy.

The Beosound Premiere is available in Natural, Gold Tone, and Black Anthracite finishes with covers in a choice of Oak, Dark Oak, and Grey Melange.
