Leatherman has launched a new limited-edition multitool through its experimental Garage line with an uncommon feature. The Garage Batch #008: Captain’s Crunch is CNC-machined out of 420 stainless steel with gold PVD details, and houses 11 tools.
Most notable among these is the addition of locking pliers, a feature not commonly found among Leatherman’s multitools. The locking mechanism of the pliers is aided by a design unique to the Captain’s Crunch, where the pliers are housed in one handle and use a pivot point to attach to the other. The user can then dial things in further by adjusting the locking point of the pliers.
