Samsung opens Neo QLED viewing pod for the World Cup

AV unites with the biggest tournament in the world

With the World Cup in full swing, Samsung has created a Neo QLED viewing pod at the Samsung KX Experience in  King’s Cross, London. Fans that are lamenting they can’t be at the games in Qatar can have the next best thing by visiting the pod to watch on the (suitably large) Samsung QN800B TV. The viewing pod is in collaboration with talkSPORT, and in turn, Samsung is sponsoring the sports radio station’s World Cup GameDay podcast. talkSPORT will also be recording some of its podcast episodes directly from the viewing pod.

The Neo QLED range features Quantum Dot and Quantum Matrix technology, and as such, Samsung claims the 8K TV will offer a peak viewing experience for those watching the big tournament. For fuller immersion, the Neo QLED viewing pod also features the HW-Q990B soundbar for visitors to have an equally enthralling audio experience, letting them feel that they are part of the game.

“Through our collaboration with talkSPORT, one of the leading media outlets for sport in the UK, we hope to attract new and existing consumers to enjoy the benefits of our Neo QLED viewing experience and the award-winning Quantum Dot technology featured inside it,” said Zeenah Hill, Marketing Director, TV/AV, Samsung Electronics UK&I.
