Apple has unveiled the new highly anticipated iPad Pro models, which are the first to feature an OLED display. Technically, the new iPads feature a two-stack tandem OLED display, which stacks two OLED panels (manufactured by LG and Samsung) for increased performance, as well as being longer lasting. According to apple, regardless of the resolution you use, the panels deliver 1000 nits of brightness full-screen. Additionally, the new models utilize the new M4 chip, and are the first Apple products to do so. According to Apple, the M4 chip allows for much more AI performance.

“M4 features an entirely new display engine to enable the precision, color, and brightness of the Ultra Retina XDR display. With a new CPU, a next-generation GPU that builds upon the GPU architecture debuted on M3, and the most powerful Neural Engine yet, the new iPad Pro is an outrageously powerful device for artificial intelligence,” said Apple.
Being the first iPad with OLED panels means that these models can finally support true HDR, all while considerably slimming down the profile of the device. The new iPad Pro comes in an 11-inch and 13-inch model, as well as various options for storage capacity.
