The MM-4XP miniature loudspeaker from Meyer Sound is a self-powered version of its MM4 mini wide-range loudspeaker. The MM-4XP has a 4-inch face, flexible mounting options, and operates at a frequency range of 120 Hz to 18 kHz, with a peak output of 113 dB. Peak and rms limiters regulate loudspeaker temperatures and excursion, so that it still performs under overload conditions. The single, proprietary, 4-inch transducer was manufactured at Meyer Sound’s factory. The MM-4XP requires the MPS-488 power supply to balanced audio and 48 volt DC power, which reaches the loudspeaker via a five-pin Switchcraft EN3 connector. This one-rack external power supply can power up to eight MM-4XPs while routing eight channels of balanced audio from its XLR inputs. Price: $750. Meyer Sound. 510-486-1166. www.meyersound.com.
