TEC Award-winning pro audio designer Aspen Pittman has unveiled his latest breakthrough product, the Center Point Stereo Spacestation v.3 Stereo Powered Monitor. It is a compact powered stereo monitor/portable PA that creates a 300-degree stereo sound field from its single cabinet. According to Pittman, the Spacestation v.3 works by electronically encoding stereo left and right signals to be mid (L+R) and side (L-R) signals, then decodes them acoustically via its front and side dipole-powered speaker array. This creates the Spacestation v.3’s incredibly wide sweet spot and has to be heard to believed. The Spacestation v.3 features custom Eminence USA-built 8in. coax speaker and 1in. compression driver plus a super-tweeter, all tri-amped with independent level adjustment for mids and high frequencies via Speaker Contour controls. Its side speaker is a 6.5in. full-range positioned 90 degrees off-axis.
