The DMC-STR Streaming Input Card by Crestron enables card-based Crestron DM switchers to receive a single high-performance H.264 video stream over an IP network from another DM switcher, an IP camera, or a streaming server. HD content can then be distributed to displays, laptops, mobile devices, and other DM switchers enterprise-wide. Ideal for security, distance learning, video arraignment, and other remote applications, the DMC-STR supports streaming at resolutions up to HD 1080p, with bitrates up to 25Mbps. The stream is decoded and converted to HDMI to allow for switching and distribution via DM. The streaming input can be configured to receive streaming signals via its dedicated “Content LAN” port, or via the DM switcher’s LAN port, allowing the option to isolate control and content onto separate networks or combine them on a single network. The DMC-STR receives H.264 streaming video in and then the DM switcher outputs the content via any output card as any signal type or infrastructure, including HDMI, HDBaseT, or streaming. Conversely, the DMC-STRO Streaming Output Card transmits H.264 streaming video output from any DM input, such as HD video from an HDMI input card.
