This update to the D80 amplifier adds the control protocol.
d&b audiotechnik has added Open Control Architecture (OCA) to its D80 amplifier. Developed by the OCA Alliance of companies that includes Bosch, Yamaha, and d&b audiotechnik, OCA is a method of “talking” over Ethernet with the target of becoming a common language that all pro manufacturers can use. The release version of d&b R1 Remote control software V2.2.1, which incorporates the OCA protocol to communicate over Ethernet with D80 amplifiers, is available to download from www.dbaudio.com.
