The Aurora VTUNE Pro 4K tuner is a 4K2K RF tuner/IPTV all-in-one solution. Designed for any integrated system requiring IPTV, ATSC, QAM, NTSC and PAL, the tuner is capable of decoding MPEG2, MPEG4, VC-1, H.264, and H.265 with resolutions up to 4096×2160 at 60Hz via both RF and LAN. In addition, the innovative device is equipped with an onboard 4K scaler for viewing 1080P HD content on 4K displays.
Aurora DXM third-generation matrix switchers, the DXM-88-G3 8×8 matrix, DXM-1616-G3 16×16, and the DXM-3232-G3 32×32 card-cage matrix systems, were shown at Info-Comm 2015. Updated to 4K UHD, these systems add some major features to the system, such as embedding Aurora’s QXT touch-panel control engine as the main interface for the matrix. The front panel now houses the new QXT-700 touch-panel, which provides full control as well as IP, RS-232, IR, relays, and DIO ports. Additional updates include an embedded 1G-network switch, allowing Ethernet to pass directly over the HDBaseT inputs and outputs for streamlining wiring infrastructure throughout a facility. The DXM-G3 system will also provide PoH for all Aurora HDBaseT peripherals (HDBaseT wallplates and receivers). There is also audio breakaway switching that provides flexibility for multi-zone audio enhancement.
At InfoComm, WyreStorm showed off its new range of UltraHD 4K offerings for the pro AV market, with a selection of matrix switching, splitting, extending, testing and signal scaling solutions over HDMI, HDBaseT Class, A, B and 2.0 to meet the needs of any 4K application now while future-proofing for tomorrow. The UltraHD 4K compatible products includes MX-0808-4K and MX-0808-PP-POH-4K 8×8 matrix switchers distributing 4K content over HDMI and HDBaseT, SP-0108-4K 4K 1:8 HDMI splitter, SW-0201-4K 4K-supported HDMI/VGA switcher, a EXP-CON-4K-DD 4K HD scaler and Dolby downmixer, TT-KIT-4K 4K-compatible pattern generator and signal analyzer, EX-70-4K PoH extender that supports HDBaseT Class A at 70m/230ft., and EX-100-4K-PRO extender (shown) that supports HDBaseT 2.0 at 100m/328ft.
The Atlona AT-UHD-M2C-BAL is the industry’s first 4K-compatible converter, according to the company. It extracts and down-mixes Dolby and DTS audio tracks and provides balanced analog audio output in stereo or mono. It also processes audio content while allowing 4K/UHD video, in any resolution format, to pass through from the source to a display, extender, switcher, or other component. To meet professional standards, the analog signal output from the converter (+4dBu) is provided via a five-wire captive-screw connector on the rear panel. Audio on the converter’s HDMI output is configurable to provide either the original multichannel content or the downmixed channels. The front panel provides an HDMI jack for source input and a USB jack for installing firmware updates
Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera 4K is a small Ultra HD and HD studio camera for live production. The Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and features a built in color corrector, talkback, tally indicator, PTZ control output, B4 lens control output, and an MFT lens mount that is easily converted to other lens mounts via third-party adapters. An expansion port features multiple control connections such as a PTZ serial output connection that can be used with motorized heads and a B4 data link output for controlling broadcast lenses.
WALLPLATE AUTO SWITCHER
The Kramer WP-5VH2 ultra HD HDBaseT active wallplate auto switcher is the first of its kind to offer 4K resolution (ultra HD at a 2K price point) with EDID management, HDMI, VGA, unbalanced stereo audio, HDMI audio embedding and de-embedding, and clock stretching, according to the company. In spaces where power sources are difficult to reach, the unit can be powered remotely via HDBaseT using a Power over Ethernet injector (e.g., Kramer PSE-1). It can transmit data to a compatible receiver (e.g., the Kramer TP-588D or Kramer TP-580RXR) up to 328ft. (100 meters) with 4K and up to 590ft. (180 meters) with 1080p60 via a Cat-6a twisted-pair cable.
Matrox C-Series multi-display graphics cards let signage integrators build high-impact display walls that are reliable and easy to install. The cards feature 2GB of onboard memory and secure mini DisplayPort connectivity. Matrox C680 supports up to six 4K/UHD displays, and more displays can be supported with two C680 cards in a system. The board-to-board framelock feature ensures synchronization of all displays to reduce tearing on digital signage and video walls. Matrox C420 is ideal for use in the small-form-factor systems needed in tight signage setup spaces. It’s also the fastest quad card with passive cooling, for increased reliability and silent operation.
