kvm-tec inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of IHSE, offers the ECOsmart series of zero-space transmitter extenders for signals up to 1920×1200@60Hz or 1080p60 for real-time video. The ECOsmart is offered in a compact ruggedized aluminum case that can be powered via a USB port on the computer source or with an external power supply. This flexibility makes the ECOsmart the perfect KVM extender where rack space is limited, and signals need to be distributed long distances away from the source. The compact form factor boasts full size features such as mouse-glide for using a single keyboard and mouse across multiple monitors; USB 2.0 for card readers; and other high-speed peripherals can be configured when combined with kvm-tec’s FlexLine and media4Kconnect line of receiver extenders. Compatible with standard network switches and easy to configure, the extenders support point-to-point connections via an onscreen display or through kvm-tec’s Switching Manager software for system configuration and real-time diagnostics. Each ECOsmart transmitter can be connected to the network via standard CAT5e,6 cabling up to 150m/492ft away from the computer source. The small form factor utilizes a standard screw-lock DVI connector to prevent accidental removal. Combining the ECOsmart with kvm-tec’s Gateway2Go Windows App allows remote users to securely connect to any local unit on the kvm-tec switching network.
