AMX SVSI N3300 Series
These encoders and decoders offer 4K60 H.26x and Dante AV-H streaming. Hybrid learning applications will especially benefit from the significant cost savings of simultaneous dual-stream encoding and local recording to an external USB 3.0 drive. Video preview images are viewable from the built-in web interface or from a touch panel; enhanced support for high-security networks is built in. N3300 Encoders simultaneously output up to 4K60 H.26x or Dante AV-H on the primary stream and a high-compatibility H.26x secondary video stream. With Dante AV-H, N3300 products are compatible with Dante Studio, a suite of PC software tools for PC, that support ingest, recording, production, or streaming applications without the need for additional hardware. Dante Controller handles all device routing, naming, and configuration, while Dante Domain Manager provides IT-level management. From the judges: “One of the best features is the ability to record locally to a USB 3.0 drive. As for configuration it is nice to see Dante Studio, Dante Controller, and the built-in web user interface all as options to build out your systems.”
AMX Muse Controllers
AMX MUSE Automation Controllers provide a dedicated computing resource to run HARMAN Professional’s MUSE automation platform in any AV environment. They can simultaneously process a virtually unlimited number of scripts written in JavaScript, Python, or Groovy and natively support Low-Code development with Node-RED. AMX MUSE Automation Controllers feature a modern embedded processor that’s 10x faster than the processor in AMX NX Controllers, substantial memory, and industrial-grade eMMC storage. Built on HARMAN’s secure Linux platform, MUSE controllers are designed to surpass the requirements of the most secure installations. Additionally, these Controllers natively support HARMAN’s HControl (open-API), HiQnet (legacy HARMAN audio devices), and ICSP (legacy AMX control devices) protocols. From the judges: “These controllers pack a punch combining a small form factor without sacrificing power due to the upgraded processor and multiple flavors of I/O. Having consistent programming strings across multiple languages shows how much thought AMX put into their updated product line.”
BSS Soundweb Omni
Soundweb OMNI was designed to deliver the most comprehensive open-architecture DSP solution for installed sound. It features the most powerful processor ever from BSS, adaptable to the diverse needs of hospitality, large venues, corporate, education, and government installations. The Soundweb OMNI family combines enterprisegrade processors, flexible I/O expanders, Dante/AES67 networked audio, an onboard scripting engine developed by AMX, and a large library of processing objects, including media playback, AEC, VoIP, and more. The platform is managed through AVX Architect and AVX Control, an all-new software suite, built from the ground up to support the latest installed products from HARMAN Professional starting with BSS Soundweb OMNI, ushering in a new era of installed AV software at HARMAN. It introduces HControl, a human-readable, standards-based, and developer-friendly API, and supports both 48kHz and 96kHz processing. Soundweb OMNI features two flagship processing devices, the 512p and 256p, which deliver high Dante/AES67 channel counts, up to 512×512 at 96kHz. Soundweb OMNI also offers two I/O expansion devices, the 32e and 16e; each I/O port is “format configurable” as either analog or stereo AES3 digital. Furthermore, certain audio I/O ports and all GPIO ports are “direction configurable” as either inputs or outputs.
JBL Venue Synthesis
This 3D Acoustic Simulation Software makes it easy for live sound engineers to design and optimize even the most complex JBL sound reinforcement systems for any environment, at any scale, and validate equipment for rigging. It offers both 2D and 3D visualization of real-time, holistic JBL system acoustic coverage and equipment mechanical validation for rigging safety. Users can create or import 3D venue models, interact with realistic 3D models of JBL Professional loudspeakers and accessories, and predict coverage on any audience or architectural plane for a full system of JBL products. Venue Mode integrates with common geometry file formats and plug-ins such as SketchUp, AutoCAD DFX, and EASE and CATT-Acoustics models or can build venues from scratch when 3D models are not available. A proprietary high-resolution loudspeaker data format measures frequency resolution at 1/12th octave—far finer than the industry standard of 1/3rd octave—and high-resolution balloon data for high-frequency channels is just 2 degrees (the industry standard is 5 degrees), for precise line array performance prediction. The software can be used to organize and link loudspeakers and arrays, visualize coverage, angles, delay, and much more. The ArrayLink app has also been updated to better support Venue Synthesis. From the judges: “JBL VS balances power, precision, and simplicity a rare feat when it comes to software in the Pro AV market.”
Martin Exterior Wash Pro
The Exterior Wash Pro family joins the recently released Exterior Linear Pro fixtures for professional architectural illumination in permanent outdoor installations. The Exterior Wash Pro family is available in two color variants, QUAD and CTC, and comes in four sizes per variant. Key features include externally mounted micro lenses and optional baffle snoot to offer customizable beam control even during late-stage design. A narrow beam angle makes these fixtures ideal for long-throw applications. Setup is simplified with an integrated magnetic sensor for fixture checks, offering easy verification of power, DMX, and basic color tests. Focusing is accomplished without the need for an external controller and users can tailor cable lengths, including hybrid cable options. From the judges: “I appreciate that Martin has delivered a line with a similar form at different scales to meet the need of an architectural space without exceeding the needs. The product has clean lines that can be concealed easily but also can be mounted exposed without taking away from the building aesthetic.”
