Our annual Best of Show NAB awards honor Pro AV products which are selected from submitted products by industry judges on-site on the NAB show floor.
WHY THIS MATTERS: Sound & Video Contractor participates in the Best of Show NAB awards program with our colleagues on the TV side. I like this program because it’s an opportunity to acknowledge the Pro AV products that brave the maelstrom that is NAB.
Judges look at all submitted products on the show floor. Winners are determined by a points system awarded against criteria including estimated ease of installation, use, and maintenance; performance against category standard (i.e. sound quality for speakers, res/brightness for displays, latency/bandwidth for transport, etc.); richness/relevance of feature set; estimated ROI; innovation/versatility; anticipated reliability; value for cost.
