SVC announces Best of Show at ISE 2024 winners

The Best of Show awards at the 2024 ISE Show recognize innovation and excellence in new professional AV products and solutions. Winners are evaluated from among submitted products.

WyreStorm Technologies MX-1007-HYB

This new education-targeted, MX-1007-HYB matrix switcher embodies the plug-and-play ethos of WyreStorm education products. The all-in-one hybrid 10×7 matrix switcher supports presentation systems with USB-C, HDMI, HDBT, Dante Audio, and NetworkHD connectivity, at the podium, in the classroom, or in the lab. With dedicated inputs for a laptop, microphone, Dante audio, and document camera, different teachers can manage and integrate diverse multimedia sources in any classroom. The multi-format video connections include USB-C, HDMI, HDBaseT3, and first-ever AV over IP capabilities for integration with WyreStorm’s NetworkHD. Built-in DSP and IO including Dante 4×4, mic inputs, balanced audio outputs and 4-channel amplifiers for up to four speaker outputs complete the classroom AV setup in one box. Cloud Management via Wyrestorm’s SYGMA portal makes it a perfect fit for larger connected AV System setups. Judges called it a powerhouse of a machine. “The continued refinement of the WyreStorm product line to support learning environments has achieved a masterpiece with this new 10×7 solution. The built-in quad amp, Dante audio support, and NetworkHD capabilities raise the bar for integrators working in the education market.”

L-Acoustics L Series

The all-new, environmentally-minded L Series comprises the L2 and L2D, designed to work together or independently for medium to large-sized mobile and fixed install applications. These full-range progressive line source speakers are designed for consistency over the audience and improved rejection everywhere else, the line claims an industry-leading SPL per line length, weight, and visual size. Based on the Progressive Ultra-dense Line Source (PULS) technology, the L Series combines sonic performance, power-to-size, and weight ratios with ease of deployment. From the judges: “The new L-Series speaker system is my favorite new speaker system for 2024. I really appreciate the clean lines and how the new system can reduce trim height of rigs when compared to previous systems. From an integration standpoint I also appreciate that array modules and amplifiers are paired for quick and easy deployment.”

Aurora Multimedia RXS-2 PC

This 12th Generation Intel i5 or i7 NUC Element PC is purpose-designed for the AV industry. Its small size allows for mounting behind displays and under tables. It can also be rack mounted as two in a 1RU or 12 in 5RU. Available in i5 & i7 with 1TB SSD. The RXS-2 has dual 4K60 4:4:4 HDMI outputs and one HDMI input for capture of 4K signals. Wi-Fi 6, 2.5G LAN, 1G LAN, USB 3.1, and RS-232 ports make it perfect for unified communications and digital signage applications. A unique front OLED displays IP address, MAC address, serial number, and more, ideal for servicing. LAN ports are PoE++, Wi-Fi 6 is integrated and power is USB C. Judges called it “an integrator’s dream CPU for AV environments. The ability to support 4K30 Capture is a great start but the dual HDMI outputs and the integrated OLED display for setup and system monitoring puts this solution ahead of the competition. From an integration perspective the ability to easily rack two of these units side by side maximizes system power with a minimal footprint.”

A front-panel RGB LED for each connector can be programmed to reflect any system parameter. (Or they can be blacked-out). Integrated buttons control any system function from each placement with easily identifiable bright indicators and control buttons. A raised bezel and proprietary thumb notch ease connector attachment and removal. A vertically oriented network port is accompanied by an integrated stress-release attachment point. The Decora-compatible faceplate snaps into place without visible screws. IP control and PoE power simplify installation with single-cable connections. Four configurations are available. Judges praised the studio-grade pre-amps, warranty, and design. “This is far and away the best designed Dante endpoint for environments where the product will be visible. The die-cast front panel is durable yet so elegant with the integrated LED lighting.”

This series sets a detailed, premium standard with pristine audio, industrial strength materials, attractive design, control options, and a complete line of models that reliably deliver sophisticated results. The wall-mounted, mic/line, Dante enabled endpoints include the same studio grade mic preamps and AD/DA signal chain as Symetrix top-of-the-line DSP, with sampling
This 120Hz 5K Premium Series is the next generation of ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio LCD displays from Jupiter Systems. It utilizes cutting edge Quantum Dot Mini-LED technology, claiming the position as the most technologically advanced ultrawide LCD in the market. Specifications include: brightness of 1500 nits, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, 2300 local dimming zones, and certification for HDR1000+. The newest addition is an 87” size which joins existing 105’’ and 81’’ sizes. Designed for MTR/ Signature MTR rooms, Zoom Rooms, executive meeting spaces, and specific command and control visualization installations, the displays reflect Juptier’s long security history, as a fully secure display with no built-in system or vulnerability risk. Pana displays do not carry an embedded (or hidden) Android system; it does not require an on-board computer or system. Immersive sound is delivered through a 4+1 speaker system, comprising 2 upward-firing speakers, 2 downward-firing speakers, and a 30-watt subwoofer. Judges found it “luxurious” and “inherently secure by design” and saw value for integrators and consultants in having a new size for a popular form factor.

Shure Microflex Wireless neXt 2

The newest addition to Shure’s Microflex Ecosystem is a compact two channel wireless system designed to offer a cost-effective, intuitive, and all-in-one audio solution for hybrid setups both in-room and online. MXW neXt 2 is built with a unique combination of advanced DSP capabilities and audio I/O connections, including USB, Dante networked audio, and analog audio. The comprehensive I/O enables the device to be networked-installed or used as a standalone system. The all-in-one base unit also combines wireless access point, microphone charger, and advanced onboard DSP to reduce the amount of hardware and setup required. It takes a matter of minutes to set up and pair the mics, simplifying complex installation workflows and offering outstanding audio right out-of-the-box. It’s ideal for improving audio in spaces that only require two microphones and connects readily to video conferencing systems for situations with remote presenters. Its integration with MXA array microphones means the MXW neXt is perfect for hybrid use cases that require audio capture of in-room participants, sound reinforcement of a presenter, and far-end audio from remote presenters. Shure Audio Encryption is based on the AES-256 algorithm that provides a robust and protected audio signal. It’s offered in a choice of three new interchangeable wireless microphone form factors—bodypack, handheld, or boundary. Judges were “excited to see Shure’s legendary quality paired with impressive battery length, IO options, and full slate of form factors.”

INOGENI TOGGLE ROOMS

Tailored for Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) scenarios with laptops, TOGGLE ROOMS empowers users with just one USB-C cable. The 4K BYOD/BYOM switcher links a laptop through either USB-C with 100W charging or USB-B + HDMI. It connects to three USB 3.0 devices and one or two HDMI displays across two PC hosts, ensuring a pro-AV, unified communication system with 4Kp60 resolution and adaptable to 21:9 wide screen. It’s designed to support seamless transition between two PCs: a room PC and laptop host or two laptops. It’s TAA compliant and engineered and made in Canada. Control can be via simple push button or control system. It is compatible with top Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) and Zoom Rooms systems, including Logitech, Lenovo, MAXHUB, Crestron Flex, Dell and Poly Studio Room Kit, as well as USB cameras, videobars, and videoconferencing systems in huddle rooms to large boardrooms. Judges found it to be an impressive new BYOD product line and continue to be impressed with INOGENI creativity. “The ability to control the device using IP, RS232 or simple relay controls adds a significant value when deploying the product in various field environments using single or dual HDMI displays.”

Black Box Emerald®AV WALL

This upgrade to the Emerald DESKVUE receiver, combines the control and management of a video wall and a KVM-over-IP system on a single platform. It enables users to place, size, and interact with up to 16 selected sources (physical and virtual) simultaneously across multiple desktop monitors and a 2×2 video wall from their workspaces, often without switching. Operators visualize large amounts of information from different sources for complete situational awareness and to collaborate with other operators. Adding the EmeraldAV Wall Software to the DESKVUE receivers facilitates collaboration: operators can share content on a 2×2 video wall, and hand sources to other Emerald users. Operators/administrators control and manage KVM and AV video walls through APIs. By cascading DESKVUE receivers, up to four 4K desktop monitors (one can also be 5K) support each user console and a 2×2 video wall directly. Support for RDP, PCoIP, PCoIP ultra, H.264/265 video sources, Cloud Appliances, and Virtual Network Computing (VNC), means the solution requires no additional hardware. From the judges: “The Black Box Emerald DESKVUE Provides the cleanest, most seamless integration of up to 16ncontent sources on the market. Now with the addition Emerald AVWALL operators can share these content sources across four individual 4k video outputs taking their traditional workstation experience to even larger command and control environments.”

LEA Professional Connect Series Half-Rack Amplifiers

The half-rack smart amplifiers feature onboard DSP, WebUI, third-party API control, LEA Cloud connectivity and more. The Connect Series is made up of two product families – the Dante Connect Series and Network Connect Series. Each of the new half-rack models (CS34, CS64, CS124, CS34D, CS64D and CS124D) are built with fully routable analog balanced, unbalanced, and mic inputs and the D-units have the addition of Dante and AES 67 connectivity. All models also feature three different ways of network connection using built in Wi-Fi Access Point, connect to the existing Wi-Fi network, or using a Local Area Network Ethernet connection. “LEA’s connect series amplifiers pack so much capability in a single rack unit. Now they’ve found a way to pack the same power in a half-rack chassis.” Judges also “greatly appreciate” options allowing users to decide if they need a solution that integrates Dante.

Epiphan Video Pearl Nexus

This purpose-built rackmount capture appliance is designed for Pro AV and Higher Education to deliver an automated video capture experience at scale. This latest addition to the Pearl family records and streams up to 3 channels of 1080p video with a suite of creative controls and cloud management tools. A complete array of video inputs (SDI, HDMI, USB, SRT, and NDI), in addition to professional audio inputs (XLR, USB, and 3.5 mm) are supported. The included 1 TB SSD drive, CMS integrations, and automated file management round out the solution. Integration with proven control systems (Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron) and modern CMS platforms (Panopto Certified, Kaltura, Yuja) is complemented with Epiphan’s cloud management tools for remote access, management, and maintenance, which allow a single staff member to manage hundreds of endpoints. “Epiphan has activated the power of the Pearl platform by developing a cloud management suite that is easy for end users and support staff to navigate.”

BZBGEAR BG-AVTPG-8K Test Pattern Generator

This test-pattern generator is specifically crafted for installers and integrators. It supports 8K@60Hz and accommodates the full bandwidth of HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.2. The compact and portable device comes equipped with a rechargeable battery, an array of video test patterns,
user-friendly touch panel controls, and convenient access to cloud-based firmware upgrades. It can further support up to 8 channels of LPCM audio with selectable sample rates. The loop-through function of the BG-AVTPG 8K allows the connected HDMI input to transmit to an external display or its own built-in 7.0” touch screen. This feature empowers users to swiftly verify HDMI sources, displays, and cables. Additional functionalities include an HDCP analyzer and loop tester. From the judges: Commissioning AV Systems properly is more important than ever, and this tool helps installers verify their systems are performing to spec before leaving the job site. Having the right site tools can help you save time and money, and signifies your commitment to excellence.”

Clear-Com Arcadia Central Station

The latest update to Arcadia Central Station includes two important additions. A significant port expansion provides the ability to connect 64 FreeSpeak beltpacks, 32 IP transceivers, and more than 100 HelixNet User Stations, allowing users to have up to 164 digital beltpacks on a single system. This is an increase from its previous support for – 128 IP ports and 100 beltpacks. The update also introduces I.V. Direct, an IP interfacing feature that allows connection between Arcadia and the LQ Series of IP Interfaces, Eclipse HX Digital Matrix System (via E-IPA card), and other Arcadia systems over LAN, WAN, or Internet. The I.V. Direct ports will allow intercom audio, logic controls, and call signals to be passed between separately managed Clear-Com systems and assigned to channels, groups, and keys in the individual systems at various levels of network quality and security. Interfacing with LQ will allow Arcadia users to expand their analog connections using 2-wire, 4-wire and GPIO ports and support Clear-Com’s Agent-IC and Station-IC virtual clients, two-way radios, and SIP telephony, without the need for multiple audio and control cables. In addition to local Dante-based connection capabilities, I.V. Direct connections will allow Arcadia’s network interfacing to extend globally, making it ideal for large, multi-site live events, remote broadcasting, or even multi-country productions. From the judges: “For complex production environment and need to communicate across a large team, this is far and away the most robust and powerful intercom solution allowing existing systems to tie into a future proof solution that is rock solid. I appreciate that Clear Com continues to support SIP and IP based systems as well as encrypted wireless beltpacks.”

Jupiter Systems Pixelnet Standalone Node

to the Jupiter System’s Pixelnet family of video processors. It’s a subset of video wall controller nodes that provides secure, uncompressed transport of pixels end to end with unlimited scalability for the largest and most demanding multi-wall command and control applications.
For security, PixelNet utilizes Layer2 transport protocol as opposed to the majority of AVoIP systems that are using Internet Layer3 protocols. It recently achieved JITC certification for military-grade deployments. The PixelNet Standalone Node is unique in its small size; it
has been engineered to be low profile and to fit on an operator desk. The engineering on the internal ventilation and component placement makes it one of the smallest video processors with similar capabilities of the market. The intent of developing a single Standalone Output Node capable of being displayed only on a single screen (regardless of its size) – is aimed at reducing the cost of certain deployments and offer flexibility of installation, making the PixelNet platform more versatile than ever in their structure, helping simplify installations and reducing global acquisition cost at the same time. From the judges: “The PixelNet platform supports encryption of every pixel while using
hardware that is self-configuring and self-healing. If your client is looking for the highest level of uptime, performance, and security, the platform exceeds expectations, and the unique new Standalone output node does the same.”

Audinate Dante AV-A

Dante AV-A adds high-quality, ultra low latency video and two channels of Dante audio to hardware based on the ASPEED AST1530/1535 SoC with no hardware changes needed. Using Dante AV-A, all video and audio routing and configuration is done in the familiar and easy-to-use Dante Controller software. In addition to adding 4Kp60 4:4:4 video, Dante AV-A adds Dante audio to AST1530/1535-based devices providing independent routing and instant compatible with thousands of Dante devices on the market. The embedded software solution also leverages Dante Domain Manager for network management, user access control, and remote troubleshooting for Dante-enabled endpoints. From the judges: “It’s an exciting time to be deploying Dante in the AV Market and the new AV-A solution fills the needs of most environments that don’t require 8ms of latency. I appreciate that Dante AV-A continues to use the same Dante Controller tool to configure and deploy while adding HDCP support that previously was only achieved with the AV-Ultra enabled products.”

Vizrt TriCaster Flex Dual

The TriCaster Flex Dual is Vizrt’s most powerful control panel, envisioned by two Vizrt experts, one a TD for the NFL and NBA, the other a chief engineer with a GUI specialty. At the heart of this dual stripe control panel is an unparalleled number of user-definable ways of working and customizable workflows. It has 24 direct cross points and two 10-key dynamic menu systems, as well as other innovative features, including, for the first time on a Flex panel, a full-size joystick. The TriCaster Flex Dual is NDI-native panel, which means operators are no longer tethered to where their TriCaster physically sits. Like the TriCaster hardware models, the Flex Dual simply connects to the network and controls switchers from anywhere in the world. From simple set-ups to elaborate multi-camera productions, the Flex Dual offers delegate and utility rows for unique workflow configurations and exemplifies creative freedom. From the judges: “This is an extremely well organized remote control surface for TC1/1Pro, 2 Elite, and Vectar TriCasters. One of the best features of the TriCaster line is the ability to configurable workflows and the new Flex Dual provides more control without having to deploy the larger 4-stripe. What I appreciate about the TriCaster line is that they provide products to meet every production level and the ability to combine select systems when you need to scale up.”

7thSense R-Series 8

The new R-Series 8 flexible mid-range 3U media server caters to the needs of generative projects and mid-range media-based attractions. R-Series 8 hardware provides the flexibility and reliability of the multi-award-winning R-Series 10 hardware (powering the Sphere Las Vegas installation, and many other high-profile global attractions) at a performance specification and price range suitable for mid-size projects. In addition to media playback applications, R-Series 8 can run generative engines like Unreal Engine, Unity, Notch and more, and is SMPTE 2110-compatible. The server was from the ground up and certified for professional use and resale in countries around the world, it benefits from advanced PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 5.0 graphics cards and storage devices available today, supporting genlock, framelock, and swaplock. It optionally integrates with 7thSense Juggler for seamless switching, IntelligentSource signal failover, source compositing. Judges saw this as more leadership from 7thSense and liked that the highly impressive capabilities of R-Series 10 would be accessible to more applications through the R-Series 8.

AtlasIED Aimline Series

The premium column array loudspeakers with digitally steerable and passive models are suited for environments where traditional speakers may not provide optimal coverage, including auditoriums, churches, airports, and other venues where precise control over the directionality of sound is essential. The series is crafted to maintain quality, performance, and reliability for long hours of use in large, open venues with poor acoustics, including those with reflective surfaces such as glass, marble, and stone. The first two Aimline speakers include the Aimline ALXD and ALXP, which include enhanced grille design and feature updated drivers. The digitally steerable ALXD column array loudspeaker with Dante includes built-in amplifiers and signal processing; the seven-model lineup is ideal for applications requiring precise control over sound direction. The ALXD comprises seven models and sizes, and each is aptly named based on the number of transducers, including the ALXD 4, 8, 24, 32, 40, and 48 models. With Dante built-in, venues can manage the ALXDs and other Dante-enabled hardware as part of a network for easier maintenance and control. The Aimline ALXP series are cost-effective passive column array loudspeakers in 4, 8, 12, and 16 models. The ALXD and ALXP Series can cascade vertically with the same model to build arrays in various lengths. Judges liked the contemporary cabinet and appreciated that both passive and active were in the same form factor. “The active ALXD Dante equipped model is a great endpoint for Atlas’ Mass Communication ecosystem,” one judge added.

LED Studio 54” EDGE Pro and 65” EDGE Series

LED Studio has a stated mission to eradicate ‘throwaway culture’ with its 54” EDGE Pro and 65” EDGE adding to its EDGE series. The single die-cast cabinets are designed as a direct replacement for popular LCD video walls, claiming up to 30% energy saving vs LCD, as well as simplified installation making large scale LED applications more accessible. The proprietary V1 Architecture cabinet infrastructure uniquely allows for the pixel technologies to evolve as technology progresses, with options for Flip Chip High Bright Common Cathode, traditional SMD and Chip on Board (COB). During upgrades, only 30% of the display requires replacement. The 54” EDGE Pro introduced COB MicroLED pixel technology to the series, delivering up to 42% energy savings compared to SMD pixels of the same pitch and brightness. With direct HDMI connectivity, the CONNECT variant eliminates the need for send and receive cards, simplifying installations to a single cable setup. Available in pixel pitches from 0.62mm to 1.56mm. The 65” EDGE has been designed to significantly reduce install time and complexity by removing the need for complex mechanical cabinet adjustments. A 1.5mm display delivers 1080p at 130” and is made up of a simple 2×2 cabinet array, 4K at 260” and 8K at 521”. Both models offer two mounting methods, allowing them to be installed directly onto a load-bearing wall or hung on standard VESA mounts and existing LCD video wall infrastructure, speeding up installation. From the judges: “The EDGE product line bringing so much value to integrators by reducing the time required to assemble and deploy large format displays. The value of the frameless design goes beyond aesthetics as the design creates a pathway for upgrades to new technology without having to replace the core hardware assembly.”

Snap One Control4 MultiDisplay Manager

The user interface for the MultiDisplay Manager provides a single-page layout with multidisplay controls. This allows the user to select a different source for each display and select multiple displays to show the same source. Audio breakouts through the Multi-Display Manager allow the user to select video sources, and independently select a different audio source. After desired video and audio selections are made, a user can easily save and name that configuration as a preset for easy recall, editing, or removal by the user as needed. From the judges: “GUI designs are critical for end users to have a positive experience operating an AV system with multiple displays. The success of MultiDisplay Manager’s one-page experience is that every staff member to easily make AV system changes without complex training or the need to navigate subpages.”

Just Add Power MC-QX

The MC-QX MaxColor 4K60 Tiling and Warping Transmitter combines the company’s award-winning MaxColor 4K60 features with its Tiling Transmitter and Warp Engine technology. It allows 4K60 source devices to be displayed on a single screen instantly along with Warp Engine’s source rotation capabilities. With the MC-QX, installers can rotate any source in a Just Add Power matrix — cable boxes, media players, game systems, cameras, and more — in 0.1-degree increments in real time with incredibly low latency. The rotated image can then be sent to an unlimited number of receivers in the network, allowing for the creation of large artistic video walls using a single MC-QX. Combining three of Just Add Power’s most innovative technologies, it allows integrators to distribute video at 12-bit color, 4:4:4 chroma over existing Cat-5/Cat-6 cable and rotate sources. The transceiver supports MPEG downstreaming for connected devices including laptops and tablets. It supports all lossless audio formats and Dolby Vision. Judges called it an exciting addition to the company’s lineup; they liked the single RU form factor, and the efficiency of using one device to both manipulate and distribute video wall content.
