Both lines of cables are manufactured by Cleerline Technology Group and specially designed for the needs of custom integrators. The new HDMI Active Optical cables will be on display at CEDIA Expo Booth #2020.
All SSF™ HDMI Active Optical Cables each contain 4 strands of SSF™ optical fiber. Unlike plastic or fragile traditional glass fibers often used in active optical cables, SSF™ optical fibers use a Glass, Glass, Polymer construction. The SSF™ polymer coating provides as much as 200 times the durability of traditional fibers, as well as increased flexibility. This results in an active optical cable that can tolerate bend radii as low as 7.5 mm, all while providing 4K UHD 18 Gbps uncompressed signal transmission.
In addition, all SSF™ Active Optical Cables feature a newly designed, fully tested chipset. This chipset is built to produce no heat, leading to fewer failures both now and years past installation. This design also allows the use of a molded head with an inner metal shell, a much stronger HDMI connector head than available elsewhere in the industry.
