AVnu Alliance Member Sheds Light on Broadcast Market Transition to Ethernet AVB at NAB 2014

Alliance Member, Jan Eveleens, CEO Axon Digital Design to present AVB as an opportunity for new generation of broadcast

Beaverton, Ore. – March 25, 2014

AVnu Alliance

, the industry consortium that certifies Audio Video Bridging (AVB) products for interoperability, is proud to have Jan Eveleens, AVnu Alliance Pro Video Group Chair and CEO of Axon Digital Design, present at next month’s National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Broadcast Engineering Conference (BEC).A  Eveleens will outline the benefits of AVB networking, and how it will foster an entirely new generation of broadcast infrastructure architectures and products, enabling innovative and more efficient workflows.

“We’ve already seen strong interest from broadcasters who agree with us that AVB is a game-changing technology for the industry. The underlying standards and technology are already available,” said Eveleens. “As part of the existing IEEE 802.1 suite, AVB makes a standard Ethernet network suitable for a full-blown production backbone.”

Eveleens, an active member of the AVnu Alliance, has recently led the group to complete the final draft of the market requirements for Pro Video and Broadcast AVB networks. At NAB Show, he will demonstrate how IT-based technologies and AVB will become powerful drivers for the demanding broadcast market, creating a profound change in how broadcast infrastructures are designed and built.
