The program, now active, offers same-day electronic invoicing on shipments of the company’s audio visual products.
“This progressive program reflects our continued investment and support for our dealers, but it’s also part of our commitment to green innovation within the education and professional audio industries,”? shared Tim Ridgway, VP Marketing for Califone. “This program will mean the near-term elimination of printing and mailing more than 24,000 invoices and envelopes sent out this year alone.”?
In addition to cutting paper, the program also makes available to dealers the tracking numbers of each shipment to better serve Califone customers. Within minutes of a shipment leaving Califone, its related tracking number is included on the invoice that’s sent electronically to the dealer.
The company’s innovative green program began in 2009 with a more efficient production of the company’s annual catalog, which reduced the amount of water used to print the catalog by 80 percent (55,000 gallons) and reduced green house gases by 10.3 percent – which equated to 920 pounds of CO2 emissions, or the amount of one car’s emissions for five weeks of driving. Califone also has a longstanding recycling program and has been transitioning to more ecologically friendly packaging when shipping to classrooms, libraries, and audio reinforcement in presentations, churches, business, and industry.
