WAVE RTR-64×64 and WAVE RTR-32×32 Routers

Cobalt is presenting its new WAVE high-density routers at IBC that offer unprecedented flexibility, ease-of-use, and simplified integration. Available in two configurations – WAVE RTR-64×64 and WAVE RTR-32×32 crosspoint solutions, these units accommodate any variety of applications with support for signals up to 12G-SDI. Packed into a slim 3.75-inch deep 4U frame with full-size BNC connectors, these routers include an Ethernet port for IP-based controls such as Cobalt’s Reflex, PESA PNET and General Remote protocol SW-P-08. The units also incorporate RS-422 & RS-232 9-pin serial communication ports. Web-based controls allow full setup, salvos, monitoring, and preset management. This compact design is specifically optimized for 12G SDI operation but handles lower SDI rates with ease, as well as ASI and MADI.

WAVE CP-84L and WAVE CP-78 Control Panels

Cobalt is also introducing a series of Control Panels developed to accommodate the WAVE router family. The WAVE CP-84L features 84 back-lit LCD dot matrix display buttons, while the simpler WAVE CP-78 features 78 buttons. The panels are housed in a 2U frame that measures only 3.5 inches tall and only 3.4 inches deep with removable rack mount “ears” for desktop use or other custom installations. The WAVE panels allow different setups to be stored and recalled from the browser to provide extremely flexible operations. After customizing the panel simply upload the configuration to a different panel for rapid changes on the network. Cobalt will also offer customizable API for integration with other products. Like the WAVE routers, both control panels offer unprecedented flexibility, ease-of-use and integration, and share the same rich feature set.

Additional highlights include Cobalt’s new software-based UltraBlue IP-MV series of IP multiviewers, the PACIFIC ULL-DEC openGear decoder, and HPF-MAX  20-slot frame compatible with all openGear cards. Cobalt is also showing units from its growing Sapphire converter series including the Sapphire BBG-2110-H/S & Sapphire BBG-2110-2H mini converters and Sapphire BIDI-2H2S, a dual channel bidirectional HDMI to SDI / SDI to HDMI converter.
