Cobalt Digital’s Inter BEE Line-up Targets 4K 2110 Processing with INDIGO Option and Offers High-Density Routing Solutions with New WAVE Series

New Mini Converters and IP Multiviewers will also share the spotlight

Champaign IL – November 6, 2023 – Cobalt Digital, Inc., designer and manufacturer of award-winning edge devices for live video production and master control, and a founding partner in the openGear® initiative is bringing problem solvers to Inter BEE with its 4K 2110 INDIGO processing solution and its new WAVE high-density router series. INDIGO 2110-DC-01, a factory add-on option will be demonstrated on Cobalt’s award-winning 9904-UDX-4K card by Itochu Cable Systems in Hall 4, Booth 4308. Cobalt’s new award-winning WAVE RTR-64×64 Router will also be highlighted at Inter BEE which runs from November 15-17 in Chiba-city, Japan.

INDIGO 2110-DC-01 – Native 2110 Support

Answering the need for native SMPTE ST 2110 support Cobalt has introduced INDIGO 2110-DC-01, a highly integrated factory option that adds native ST 2110 interfaces to audio/video processing elements, eliminating the need for multiple devices in the data path when switching between IP and SDI. INDIGO 2110-DC-01 includes dual 25G Ethernet interfaces and supports uncompressed 4K on the Company’s 9904-UDX-4K openGear card making interfacing to an existing network very straightforward. It provides a powerful and dense solution capable of natively processing HD, 3G and 4K IP streams without compromising quality. The 9904 platform is capable of up/down/cross conversion, audio routing, color correction, 3D-LUT processing and supports Advanced HDR by Technicolor. Adding native ST 2110 interfaces to the audio and video processing elements provides a cost-effective, integrated solution.

WAVE RTR-64×64 12G-SDI Routers

Cobalt will also present the new award-winning WAVE RTR-64×64 12G-SDI routers at Inter BEE. The WAVE routers are flexible, easy to use and integrate, and accommodate any variety of applications with support for signals up to 12G-SDI. Packed into a slim 3.75-inch deep 4U frame with full-size BNC connectors, these routers also include an Ethernet port for IP-based controls that allow full setup, salvos, monitoring, and preset management. This compact design is specifically optimized for 12G SDI operation but handles lower SDI rates with ease, as well as ASI and MADI. A series of customizable control panels specifically designed by Cobalt to accommodate the new WAVE routers are also available.

In addition to INDIGO 2110-DC-01 and WAVE RTR-64×64, Cobalt will be presenting an expanded product portfolio including the recently launched UltraBlue IP-MV software-based scalable multiviewer available as both a software package and a cloud instance with a WebRTC output – making it an easy task to grow when customers’ needs change. The Company will also show the SAPPHIRE BBG-2110-H/S and SAPPHIRE BBG-2110-2H JPEG-XS mini converters that offer high-quality design, function, and reliability in a small package. The units, part of Cobalt’s compact Blue Box Group, include single or dual 25Gb/s ports (for ST 2022-7 redundancy) and include full NMOS support for ease of configuration.
