CONCORD, CA and LAS VEGAS, NV – JUNE 18, 2014 — InfoComm 2014 Booth #C8318—

D-Tools Inc.

, the worldwide leader in system integration software, today announced the Company will showcase Industry Standard SIA/IAPSC Security Drawing Symbols and J-STD-710 Audio, Video and Control

Architectural Drawing Symbols at the InfoComm Conference June 18-20, 2014 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada in D-Tools’ booth #C8318.

Now fully integrated into the

D-Tools System Integratorâ„¢

electronic system estimation, design and documentation software platform, SIA/IAPSC Security Drawing Symbols and InfoComm J-STD-710 Audio, Video and Control Architectural Drawing Symbols are straightforward and easily recognized. In fact, these Industry Standard Drawing Symbols are used for planning electronic system installations to facilitate system designs, blueprints, or schematics, and are consistent with symbols used by Builders, Architects, Consultants, Electronic Systems Contractors, and other professional trades to design and integrate all aspects of audio, video, networking and security installations in commercial and residential applications.

Within the D-Tools System Integrator platform, J-STD-710 implementation consists of nine categories of AutodeskA®A AutoCAD symbols– including mount type and device options for each symbol–which D-Tools has converted into nine separate MicrosoftA®A Visio stencils. The categories include Audio Video, Communications, Control, Electrical, Electronic Safety and Security, Furnishings, Generic, HVAC, and Vacuum Cleaning Systems.

SIA/IAPSC Security Symbol implementation consists of a grouping of AutoCAD symbols– including mount type and device options for each symbol– that D-Tools has converted into separate Visio stencil categories. In addition to Electronic Safety and Security stencils, D-Tools industry standard stencil categories include Audio Video, Communications, Control, Electrical, Furnishings, Generic, HVAC, and Vacuum Cleaning Systems.

The new Drawing Symbols are available now for download and use by authorized D-Tools System Integrator users, who can access these and other D-Tools stencil updates by clicking on the Download Stencil update link in the SIX toolbar in Visio.

By adopting and utilizing Industry Standard Drawing Symbols into their system design and documentation practices, systems integrators will more clearly communicate with project partners across trades. Not only does this provide needed clarity and consistency between project partners, it also provides systems integrators an opportunity to compete for bids at a higher level, earn and maintain project access, streamline processes, and boost their bottom line.
