Diversified founder and CEO Fred D’Alessandro said: “In today’s global economy, overseas expansion is a necessary step in continuing our strategic plan and success. Having successfully partnered with the Digitavia team on multiple projects in the past, the decision to combine our companies and bring them into the Diversified family was a natural fit.”

Digitavia was set up in 2012 by managing director Daryl Clarke, sales and marketing director Darren Pitt and technical solutions director Mike Windebank, all of whom have a long track record in the AV industry. The company specialises in global meeting room deployments for enterprise clients – providing standardised AV solutions and support services that deliver efficient and predictable outcomes.

“Digitavia’s specialised service for global meeting room deployment is unique and a key reason for the acquisition,” added Kevin Collins, Diversified’s president and COO. Daryl and Darren have built an amazing company with a team that fits perfectly with our culture. Digitavia’s innovation has created what I would call a modern and predictable solution.”

Diversified has more than 1,500 employees, following acquisitions including US integrators Technical Innovation in 2016 and CompView and MCW in 2017. The last of these brought multiple new international projects to Diversified.

“Digitavia has always operated with a commitment to delivering the highest levels of engineering and installation standards,” said Daryl Clarke. “In working with Diversified and recognising a similar dedication to providing the best, we knew the merger would be a perfect marriage of organisational strengths.”

Darren Pitt commented: “We are very excited to announce this merger and eager to hit the ground running to build upon our existing international presence. Combining our specialised services with Diversified’s strong engineering focus and market position will provide limitless opportunities to scale and improve the overall client experience.”

In an email to customers, Pitt wrote that as part of Diversified, Digitavia can provide "a broader solution platform including VoIP, dynamic signage with managed services, experiential design and content creation, live events, electronic security, command and control, broadcast, medical and business consulting." The company also offers engineering expertise in IT, electronic security, AV, broadcast, signage, live events and command & control, he added, as well as operating 24/7/365 network operations centres.
