Now in its 12th year, the SALUTE Award is designed to celebrate and showcase the outstanding technological innovations in video products available to professionals working in or with government agencies. A panel of judges consisting of Government Video staff and contributors reviewed a variety of products, examined the technical applications and their overall contribution to the industry, and then selected MultiDyne’s SilverBULLET as one of 13 elite award winners.

The SilverBULLET is a two-part, transmitter/receiver solution, designed for the transmission of SDI and HD-SDI TV signals over a single-mode fiber optic cable. This breakthrough solution maintains the signal quality that is crucial for working with HDTV, with signal rates of 5 Mbps to 3 Gbps and SMPTE compatible transmission across SMPTE 424M 2.97 Gbps, SMPTE 292M 1.485 Gbps and SMPTE 259M 270 Mbps standards, regardless of format. Applications for the SilverBULLET span a wide variety of pro A/V and broadcast uses, including video production and editing, ENG with additional uses for sports teleproduction, field production, remote camera links, cross-campus production, pre-fibered venues and courtesy feeds.
