URC-4000 Turns HD Video into 4K in Real-Time
Cypress, CA –
At the upcoming NAB Show, the spotlight of
’s show booth will be an array of new 4K products, including the introduction of the URC-4000 super resolution 4K up converter. The URC-4000 provides powerful up-conversion and turns HD video into 4K in real-time. FOR-A will exhibit in Booth C5117 at the show, which runs April 7-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“The URC-4000 features original input and resolution technology developed by FOR-A,” said Hiro Tanoue, FOR-A Corporation of America president. “This solution unleashes a new era in 4K conversion. We’re excited to be introducing the URC-4000 and other innovative 4K
solutions on the biggest show stage in broadcasting.”
The unit features a new approach to input and
using spatiotemporal frame interpolation to detect changes in images with high precision on a pixel-by-pixel basis. Using this process, any distortions from conversions are reduced, and the resolution of still image areas is restored. The URC-4000 further improves resolution via multi-scale nonlinear enhancement.
FOR-A’s URC-4000 features: a built-in Web server, supports Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), and offers the ability to add an optional redundant power supply for critical live applications. It supports outputs of 3G-SDI Level A or B, and multiple input formats, such as: 1080/59.94i, 1080/50i, 720/59.94p and 720/50p.
