Kordz Debuts Three New Products on its Continuing Mission to ‘Kordzify’ Professional Connectivity Solutions for Improved Installation Ease, Performance, and Robustness

Systems technicians benefit from Kordz’ evolving line of professional-grade connectivity products, refined and enhanced to streamline cabling deployments for greater profitability.

ISE Stand #2F500

January 16, 2024AV technologies have progressed at an incredible rate over recent years, and the team of experienced integrators at Kordz is keeping pace by continually evolving and optimising professional-grade connectivity products for systems technicians. This mission to ‘Kordzify’ a vast and growing line of cabling, connectors, and installation tools is reflected in three new products being announced at ISE 2024, stand #2F500.

“Sometimes it takes years of consultation, evaluation, and dozens of rounds of R&D until we’re satisfied with the design, engineering, and performance of the products we develop for industry professionals. This innovation process, something we like to call ‘Kordzifying’, is necessary to stay ahead of the technological curve and equip professionals with the most easy-to-install, interoperable, high-quality, and long-lasting connectivity solutions possible,” says Kordz managing director, James Chen, who was also recently named a CEDIA Fellow and appointed to CEDIA’s Board of Directors. “We want systems technicians to be profitable and successful and to broaden their scope of business. That’s why we’re committed to Kordzifying connectivity, so our customers can get the job done smoothly and right the first time without overthinking it.”

Patch Cords Kordzified with New PRO SlimCat Patch Cord BeltPak

One of the most tedious exercises systems technicians encounter in network cabling projects is the removal and installation of dozens, if not hundreds, of individual patch cords from bulky single-use packaging. Further impacting job profitability is the time and cost to freight, store, carry, and dispose of traditional patch cord packaging.

Kordz has solved these common frustrations and reduced the average unit cost of its best-selling patch cord with the introduction of the game-changing PRO SlimCat Patch Cord BeltPak. Debuting at ISE 2024, Stand #2F500, this innovative and patent-pending ‘Kordzified’ packaging solution comprises a compact, eco-friendly 10-pack ‘belt’ of perforated, tear-off packs made from 100% recyclable paper. The format makes it quick and easy for systems technicians to count and carry the exact amount needed and sling them over the shoulder leaving hands free for other tasks, while the paper packaging is easily torn open and cleaned up for quick, environmentally friendly disposal.

Networking Kordzified with New PRO 24AWG RJ45 Crimp Connector

By popular request, Kordz has adapted its multi-award-winning SlimCat 28AWG RJ45 Crimp Connector for 24AWG cable with the new PRO 24AWG RJ45 Crimp Connector. Optimised for professional systems technicians and engineered to last, this industry-leading non-push-through crimp connector includes Kordz’ snap-proof nylon latch that can withstand 2,000 bend cycles, along with the optional strain relief and locking pin that ensure once it’s plugged in, it stays in.

Balanced Audio Kordzified with New ONE Balanced Audio Cable and XLR Connectors

Meticulously designed and engineered, the new ONE Balanced Audio Cable and XLR Connectors offer systems technicians a more robust, fast, and effective connectivity solution for professional audio installations. Featuring high-purity stranded OFC conductors and aluminium foil shielding, the ONE Balanced Audio Cable is exceptionally flexible and easier to install, even over long distances without compromising longevity, reliability, or durability. It pairs with the new ONE XLR Connectors that are easy to terminate and engineered to last with a robust zinc-alloy shell and gold-plated solid pins.

The Kordz Termination Challenge Returns

A favourite exhibit among trade show attendees, the Kordz Termination Challenge is back for another round of friendly competition at ISE 2024. At the Kordz Stand #2F500, attendees can test their skills and try to best both their peers and the impressive current challenge record of 35:05 seconds, set by an Australian integrator at the Integrate 2023 tradeshow in Sydney. After Kordz launched the Termination Challenge at ISE 2023, it has met with resounding popularity around the globe. Kordz brings the same ‘against-the-clock’ format back to ISE this year, along with an opportunity to win prizes and bragging rights as the Termination Challenge champion.

Kordz Connects WaveForming Demonstration by Trinnov Audio

Attendees can experience the power, performance and reliability of Kordz cabling solutions at the Trinnov, Krix, Officina Acustica stand 2C500, where Kordz HDMI Cables and ONE Series Speaker Cable play an integral part connecting Trinnov’s demonstration of its revolutionary WaveForming technology. Trinnov selected Kordz as its sole provider of HDMI and speaker cabling to ensure optimal power and performance of this next-generation audio technology.

Kordz will connect a wide range of reference-level audio products from Trinnov and other premier manufacturers to showcase the impeccable audio reproduction of Trinnov’s state-of-the-art AV processors and amplifiers, a total of 33 never-before-seen speakers including 14 subwoofers from Australian manufacturer Krix, as well as best-in-class products from MadVR Labs, Barco, and Reference-Screen Excellence–all inside a custom designed cinema created by acoustic expert, Officina Acustica.

This powerful 13.14.6 Dolby Atmos system, which references CEDIA’s latest recommended practice (RP22), introduces ISE attendees to an audio experience based around proven engineering practices. In addition, WaveForming combines a new algorithm with new home theatre design guidelines to effectively reduce the low-frequency problems that can plague small rooms.  Kordz encourages attendees to also register and attend a dedicated workshop covering some of the theoretical aspects of RP22, presented by Peter Aylett from Officina Acustica, Adam Pelz, and Ben Goff, on February 1, 12.30 p.m. in Room CC1.1.

Experience Kordz at PMC Demo, Stand #2C700 (Next to Trinnov)

For its live demo at ISE, which takes place at stand #2C700, PMC is relying on Kordz ONE Series Balanced Audio and Speaker Cable, XLR Connectors, PRS4 HDMI Cables, and PRO Patch Cords for full connectivity in its 22-square-metre, acoustically treated 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos cinema. This state-of-the-art entertainment mecca showcases the PMC Ci series surround-sound speaker and subwoofers. “PMC is one of the very best speaker brands, as demonstrated by its use in the world’s leading studios,” Chen says. “It is our honour that PMC chooses Kordz to connect their exceptional speakers and we respect and are much aligned on our philosophies regarding well-engineered, well-constructed, and well-tested products.”
