Kramer Presents Trailblazing 4K HDR Extension Technology at ISE 2018 - Sound & Video Contractor
DGKat™ 2.0 Enables Extending Higher Resolution Signals over Longer Distances – Showcasing at Booth F20, Hall 1

Kramer Electronics Ltd. is proud to announce that the second generation of its ground-breaking extension technology, DGKat™ 2.0, is available now and showcasing at ISE 2018.

DGKat™ 2.0 is featured in the Kramer PT-871/872 transmitter and receiver pair. They support 4K HDR, HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 signals and 2-way powering over twisted pair. This compact extension solution delivers video signals up to 40m (130ft) over Kramer CAT copper cables at up to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) 24bpp video resolution. They support deep color, x.v.Color™, lip sync, HDMI uncompressed audio channels, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, 2K, 4K, and 3D. EDID signals are passed through from the source to the display.

Designed for installation simplicity, they require only a single cable for both the signal and the power. PT-871/872 also boast Kramer Intelligent EDID Processing™ ensuring plug and play operation for the HDMI source and display systems with no need for additional configuration. Status LED indicators for HDMI and DGKat™ 2.0 ports facilitate easy local maintenance and troubleshooting. The pair is highly durable as the devices’ temperature remains low to withstand extreme weather conditions.

“DGKat™ is a field-proven technology and is the most cost-effective 4K HDR extension solution available on the market”, said David Margolin, VP Marketing at Kramer. “I’m also happy to announce that we will soon launch a new version capable of delivering 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) signals up to 60m!” added Margolin.
