ORLANDO, Fla.—June 15, 2023—Listen Technologies Corporation, a leading provider of advanced wireless listening solutions for 25 years, has launched the next generation of its audio-over-Wi-Fi solution at InfoComm 2023 and rebranded the solution as ListenWIFI. ListenWIFI will replace Listen Technologies’ Listen EVERYWHERE solution when it becomes available later this year.
“ListenWIFI is a clear and simple descriptor for a sophisticated new listening system that delivers audio seamlessly to smart devices and new ListenWIFI receivers,” said Kim Franklin, vice president of global marketing at Listen Technologies. “The name ListenWIFI aligns with what the technology is and follows the naming convention of other Listen Technologies solutions. ‘WIFI’ is also universally recognized and synonymous with wireless accessibility.”
Listen Technologies launched the first audio-over-Wi-Fi solution, known as ListenWiFi, in 2014. In 2017, ListenWiFi became Listen EVERYWHERE after Listen Technologies’ acquisition of ExXothermic’s Audio Everywhere technology. ListenWIFI is the evolution of Listen EVERYWHERE.
New Product Suite
The new system features new LWR-1050 dedicated receivers, ListenWIFI LA-490 Beacons that enable automatic connection to audio based on location, new servers, and enhanced software that simplifies system configuration and management.
“We wanted to distinguish ListenWIFI as a new solution. It is more than a product upgrade,” added Franklin. “The ListenWIFI suite of products is the evolution of audio streaming technology and the industry’s most advanced, universally accessible and compliant, audio-over-Wi-Fi assistive listening solution.”
