Anaheim, California (May 20, 2019) – Extron proudly announces the immediate availability of the IN1806 and IN1808 Series, seamless presentation switchers with 18 Gbps support and uncompromised 4K/60 @ 4:4:4 video scaling. They feature the Extron-exclusive Vector 4K scaling engine with 30-bit internal video processing for best-in-class image upscaling and downscaling. These feature-rich switchers include Extron ProDSP audio processing, seamless video transition effects, and logo keying. Each model provides a mix of DisplayPort and HDMI inputs along with an assignable input loop-through and simultaneous HDMI and DTP2 twisted pair outputs. All IN1808 models feature two additional DTP2 inputs for enhanced design flexibility. IN1808 models are available with an integrated 100 watt stereo or mono power amplifier and built-in IPCP Pro control processor. These features and capabilities make the IN1806 and IN1808 presentation switchers ideal for use in meeting rooms, boardrooms, classrooms, and collaboration environments that require support for 4K/60 video.

“The IN1806 and IN1808 Series deliver the highest level of performance and capability in the industry for this category,” says Casey Hall, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Extron. “The combination of market-leading video and audio processing technologies plus secure control capabilities truly make them the ultimate 4K/60 presentation switchers.”

DTP2 connections support 4K/60 @ 4:4:4 color and enable signal extension of video, audio, and control signals up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CATx cable. They are compatible with DTP and DTP2 products and support integration with XTP CrossPoint matrix switchers. In addition, the DTP2 output can be configured to send signals to an HDBaseT-enabled display.
