MEVIX returned as the Official Projection Technology Partner of the outdoor art experience, taking the visual quality to the next level with new VIVID PRIME™ Technology

Newark, NJ — October 15, 2026 — Panasonic Projector & Display Americas LLC today announced its continued partnership as the Official Projection Technology Partner of BLINK®, the nation’s largest public art festival. Held October 8–11, 2026, across Cincinnati, Ohio, and Northern Kentucky, the festival transformed the area into a vibrant, immersive showcase of light, projection mapping, murals and interactive installations. Now in its fifth edition, BLINK spanned more than 30 city blocks and featured 92 artists from 20 countries. Previous editions have drawn more than 2 million attendees and generated more than $205 million in direct economic impact for the Cincinnati region.

This year, Panasonic projectors powered 13 sites across the festival. Thirty-seven PT-RQ45K projectors illuminated five sites on both sides of the river, including twelve at the historic Cincinnati Music Hall, while six PT-RQ25K projectors lit up Covenant First Presbyterian Church. Meanwhile, in the heart of downtown, four of Panasonic’s new PT-HTQ20 projectors made their public debut on The Letter from Martha, a large-scale mural reimagined through projection mapping by returning BLINK artist DecideKit.

The PT-HTQ20 is Panasonic’s first projector to support the Rec. 2020 color gamut, made possible by the company’s newly developed VIVID PRIME™ RGB laser light-source technology, bringing almost twice as much color as the previous 1 Chip DLP™ model, ideal for a more immersive experience.

“Panasonic continues to be an invaluable partner in bringing BLINK to life, and this year, the technology was nothing short of extraordinary,” said Leslie Mooney, Executive Director, BLINK. “The brilliance, clarity, and depth of color we saw across our projection mapping installations elevated the artwork in ways that were truly breathtaking. What makes this partnership so special is Panasonic’s shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible when art and technology come together. Their innovation allows our artists to dream bigger, create more boldly, and deliver the kind of unforgettable experiences that make BLINK so magical for millions of visitors.”

This year, the partnership expanded to incorporate media playback technology from HIVE Media Control, with HIVE’s Beeblade Pluto media engines embedded directly within Panasonic’s new PT-HTQ20 projectors, handling content playback for the mural. Built on the Intel Smart Display Module (SDM) standard, Beeblade eliminates the need for external media servers, simplifying system design and installation. Playback stays frame-synchronized across units through HIVE’s Beesync software and can be controlled from a web browser on any device. Together, HIVE’s media playback technology and Panasonic’s projection systems demonstrated how tightly integrated playback and projection can simplify the delivery of large-scale public art deployments and immersive experiences.

“Public art festivals like BLINK Cincinnati represent the true impact of combining tech and art for an impressive, awe-inspiring audience experience,” said Brian Duffy, Senior Strategic Account Manager of Live Entertainment, Panasonic Projector & Display Americas. “Our work with partners like BLINK inspires our continued product development. It’s exciting to see the PT-HTQ20, a projector designed based on the unique needs of projection mapping festivals, deliver unprecedented color reproduction and help create an impactful audience experience at BLINK.”
