The motif of the Brues Alehouse in Pueblo, Colorado harmonizes new and old world arts, embracing regional cultural roots with a shared ambition to foster creativity and innovation within the brewing, culinary and musical realms.
When it came to designing a system for live music performances, they came to rely on DeHerrera Event Services, a local event production company that has been servicing the region for over 30 years.
With the compact configuration of the club and the variety of musical programming, DeHerrera turned to the RCF V45 for the output and performance quality required.
“As small as the club is, bands get loud,” said owner Wayne DeHerrera, pointing to a recent performance by The Wailers (pictured here) that was reaching 105 dB SPL.
“I knew the size of the club wouldn’t allow for a line array,” he goes on to state, “and we had been impressed with the RCF cabinets in another event we did covering an amphitheater.”
The RCF V45 is a high-powered dual 15” two-way cabinet with a 4” high frequency compression driver with a frequency response down to 40 Hz.
“I’ve been so totally impressed with the sound and volume levels these RCF cabinets provide,” says DeHerrera. Because of the low profile of the stage, DeHerrera designed a proprietary dual 18” subwoofer into the stage. He also uses the RCF V35 15” two-way cabinet for stage monitors.
DeHerrera Event Productions (www.wdsound.com) has been serving the Pueblo area with everything from total concert event production to basic wedding and graduation systems, as well as performance quality sound system installations.
